INTRODUCTION
In the early part of 2020, when the pandemic started to impact business globally, Fashion had been experiencing tough, thought-provoking questions over its lack of direction. Responsibility and transparency, let alone the sustainability crisis, severe underpayment of employees, and question of the importance of Fashion, revealed a need for transparency and a re-birth of the entire system.
Fast forward to 2022. Fashion has entered a new era, unprecedented and even more dominated by external factors. We have reached a tipping point where businesses must improve their relationships with their target customers, decrease waste, and develop a sense of community to succeed in this new era of unpredictability. These exposed weaknesses have created an opportunity for fashion businesses to head systematic change for a more sustainable and inclusive future. (…)
RE-VISIT CULTURAL CREATIVITY
As early as 1434 to 1737, when the Medici family ruled Florence, Artists, writers, and architects were funded by the wealthy Bourgeois who recognised the importance of preserving culture, sponsoring masters like Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Sandro Botticelli. Under their rule, Florence flourished as a centre of learning and the arts. Following this example, Fashion and Art can help break down cultural barriers and promote understanding, tolerance, and inclusivity while maintaining Creativity and accessibility. (…)
